Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, Houston, Texas is a branch church of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts.

You can find satisfying answers to life’s challenges through the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Science and Health explores man's spiritual relationship with his all-loving Father-Mother God. Understanding this relationship is both uplifting and practical. Even one moment of insight can change your point of view. And when your point of view changes, so does your life.

We welcome you to visit Christian Science Churches and Reading Rooms in Houston.

Spiritual Goal for 2010

"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."   (Matt. 22:37-40)

Parking Lot

Dear Members:

As most of you know, the Art Institute is paying our church so that their students can park in our parking lot.  Over the last couple of years, it has become increasingly clear that others were parking here and going to the Marathon building or across the street to the park.  The Board felt it was not right for the Art Institute to pay us and for the others to park free, so they are taking steps to correct this.

The students will have a sticker on their cars indicating they have paid their parking fee.  They are being instructed to park only on the north side of the lot, leaving all the spaces on the south side of the esplanade open for the members’ use.  A security person from the school will check the cars, making a note of the ones who do not have their sticker.   A note will be left on the windshield as a warning.

The Board is asking that members who come during the week to please park on the south side of the esplanade.  This will enable us to distinguish between students, members and anyone who should not be parking here.

If you find a warning note on your car, please bring it to the clerk so that the Art Institute can be informed that you are a member.

Sincerely,

BOARD OF TRUSTEES
